In this lesson, Dr. Yaron Brook concretizes the role of the stock market: its role in corporate restructuring and how it enabled and facilitated restructuring in the 1980s. He also goes into the alleged problem of the separation of ownership and control (and whether it’s a flaw in the capitalist system), hostile takeovers, and the attempts to end the takeover market.
