Lesson three follows both Rearden’s and Dagny’s philosophical progression from Part One through Part Two of the novel, focusing on how each of them struggles and learns more about the sanction of the victim, the mind-body dichotomy, and how to think about their struggle against the looters as a conflict of moral codes.
