This lesson focuses on the definition, nature and importance of hierarchy. Blindness to hierarchy is the hallmark of modern philosophy, thought and culture–and examples are presented to illustrate. Of utmost importance is the preservation of hierarchy; the hierarchy preservers are concretization, definition and reduction. Exercises in concretization are assigned for homework.
