In this lesson Leonard Peikoff explains why a certain category of philosophic terms requires not one, but two definitions, both of which are necessary to maintain the unity of knowledge. Several examples, including ‘value,’ ‘virtue’ and ‘morality,’ are examined with special attention given to possible objections and misunderstandings.
