Leonard Peikoff applies the principles of effective oral communication (discussed in Lesson 4 of Objective Communication) by analyzing in depth two practice talks by student volunteers, evaluating them in terms of content and delivery. (Both talks are included as part of the lesson.) The first talk presents principles for effective child rearing from an Objectivist point of view and is intended for an audience of parents and teachers. The second talk argues why advocates of capitalism need the Objectivist ethics and is intended for an audience of conservatives.
